Dr. Emily Koemeter-Cox - Veterinarian

Dr. Emily Koemeter-Cox

Dr. Emily Koemeter-Cox grew up in a suburb right outside Philadelphia (“Go Birds!”) and went to undergrad at University of Maryland.

Before heading to vet school, she worked for several years as a Licensed Veterinary Technician in D.C. and then worked for Prince William County as a professional Firefighter/EMT-B for a couple of years.

Dr. Cox graduated from vet school at Tufts University and completed advanced training as a rotating intern at Friendship Hospital for Animals in D.C. Before coming to Old Mill, she worked as an ER veterinarian. She lives in Purcellville with her husband, 2 dogs (Wally, a Bloodhound, and Munch, a Basset Hound mix), cat (Miss Piggy), goats (Bert, Ernie, Cookie), and chickens (“Larry and the ladies”)

When she’s not at work or caring for the menagerie at home, she enjoys crossfit/olympic weightlifting, watching an Eagles game, or hitting a local winery/restaurant with her husband and friends.
